The most important theme throughout "Flowers For Algernon" is Charlie’s internal struggle with his own identity. Once his intelligence progresses to a certain point, he begins referring to his past consciousness as an entirely different person. This inner conflict gets so intense that Charlie begins having hallucinations of his past self looming nearby.

My concept heightens this theme and focuses on exploring his evolving identities. Specifically I used pressed flowers, inkblot tests, and photography/scanned imagery. Additionally I used supporting effects like liquidation, stretched pixels, mirroring images to drive home the idea of split personalities.
